Announcement
of the International scientific and practical conference «20 years of the SCO: from regional forum to global recognition» dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization
The Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan informs about the holding of the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the theme «20 years of the SCO: from a regional forum to global recognition», which is planned under the Chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in SCO in 2020-2021 The event will take place on August 20, 2021 in the city of Dushanbe via videoconference.
The conference will be attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the former Secretary General of the SCO, as well as heads and leading experts of key think tanks and scientific and analytical institutions of the member states, observers and dialogue partners of the SCO, representatives of the CIS secretariat and RATS SCO.
The Conference provides for the consideration of the following issues:
- SCO: 20 Years of Achievements and Prospects for Development of Cooperation
- The role of the SCO in deepening good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation in the region
- SCO and Prospects for Regional Security
- Strengthening cooperation between the SCO countries in trade, financial and investment spheres
- Expansion of interaction in the transport, energy and agricultural spheres in the SCO space
- Development of cooperation in the fields of education, culture and science within the SCO
